Position Details:Summary of Duties:As the Administrative Assistant, you will be the initial point of contact for the College of Education Dean's office. You will provide primary administrative support for the Associate Deans for Academic Affairs and Research, and other administrative staff in the dean's office, under the supervision of the Senior Principal Assistant. Your responsibilities will include word processing, record keeping, database management, classroom scheduling, electronic calendaring, and committee support, among other clerical tasks.
Required Qualifications:- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or closely allied field. Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis, provided at least one year included experience at the Clerk 3 level or above.
- Previous work experience serving as the first point of contact in a professional office environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate accurately and professionally.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience at WSU or other institution of higher education.
