May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers. Roles and Responsibilities Under limited supervision of the County Director, the Administrative Assistant 1 will have the following roles and responsibilities:
- Provide general secretarial, clerical and administrative support to assigned area.
- Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance to customers and staff.
- Supports routine administrative functions for the agency/office, such as travel expenses, car rentals, leases, vendors, contracts, telecommunications, building security, purchasing, billing/credit, inventory, property control, personnel, payroll, etc.
- Complete routine and special reports for county leadership.
- Track county data including staff compliance with training, equipment and supplies purchases and leases.
- Respond to request from Regional Director's office for data and information.
- Organize and scheduling meeting for internal and external customers.
- Provides assistance and problem resolution to claimants, employers, staff, other agencies, and/or the general public.
- Researches and resolves detailed program or client issues/questions.
- Prepares documents. May enter data and/or process documents and records.
- Researches and/or resolves program or client issues or questions.
- May represent the manager in various matters.
- Receives additional training, as required, to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas.
- Operate standard office equipment as required to carry out duties.
- Performs other professional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED AND two (2) years of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly, Outlook, Teams, Excel and Word.
