Job Description SUMMARY: Stride Tutoring is an exciting new startup within Stride's portfolio of companies, focused on building and scaling an innovative educational marketplace that connects tutors and students. Our aim is to enable students to achieve their educational goals through receiving high-quality, personalized online tutoring from expert, certified teachers. Over time we plan to expand this marketplace further to serve a broader set of educational needs for a wider range of customers. Stride Tutoring is seeking an Operations Support Specialist within our Tutoring Services team. This position will be responsible for facilitating and tracking certain tutor onboarding steps, processing regular reporting for payroll and tutor management needs, sourcing and scheduling tutors for district implementations, and coordinating tutor sub requests and session changes/cancellations as needed. The position also provides assistance with and recommendations on workflow, policy, and procedures, and is responsible for strong upward daily communication of activities to management. This role reports to the Director of Tutoring Services, Stride Tutoring. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. * Assisting in tasks to keep tutor candidates moving through the onboarding process, such as reviewing tutor applications and certifications to determine whether they meet requirements, addressing common questions and escalations, monitoring tutor completion of training, verifying that tutor account and profile creation has been completed according to guidelines, and account creation in community or other systems; * Pulling and compiling tutoring session reports to enable timely and accurate payroll processing; performing other payroll processing and record-keeping tasks as needed; * Managing tutor sub requests and session swaps per our standard processes; * Monitoring session records for tutor adherence to guidelines; * Identifying and staffing tutors for specific district implementations based on areas of specialty and availability; * Assisting the customer success team in bulk session scheduling sessions on behalf of district customers and handling session cancellation and change requests as needed; * Investigating tutor-reported issues as needed, working with cross-functional colleagues to determine the plan to address, and reporting back on issue resolution; * Providing feedback and recommendations on workflow, policy, and procedures where there are opportunities for improvement; * Responding to inquiries in an effective and professional manner; * Other similar tasks as requested. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Three (3) years of experience in an administrative or operations role OR * Equivalent combination of education and experience Certificates and Licenses: None required. OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Highly ethical professional with strong organizational acumen * Team player with strong communication skills - including the ability to read and write acceptable business English; Understands importance of responding to internal and external customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner; * Ability to be exacting, thorough and attentive to detail, while still meeting deadlines * Understanding of the importance of being process oriented * Ability to adhere to strict deadlines, willing and able to do what it takes to get the work done * Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency. * Ability to clear required background check WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function . * This is a home-based position Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate the hourly range to be $14.25 to $29.56. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus.
