Olympia Food Industries, a manufacturer of Greek & Mediterranean foods, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join the team! This is an on site 8-hour shift running from 8:00am to 4:30pm, regularly from Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour break. This position's starting pay is $20.00 an hour. This starting pay may be negotiable dependent on applicant's knowledge, experience, resume & reference. Raises may be available annually after a positive performance review.
Summary
This role would support the office manager in various business activities including data entry, customer service, human resources, accounting, purchasing and inventory management. Primary responsibility will be accounts receivable, but must be available to support other departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field
- 1-2 years' experience in an office setting
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects/tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software
Responsibilities
- answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
- receive and direct visitors and clients
- general clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
- data entry into company ERP system
- maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
- retrieve documents from filing system
- handle requests for information and data
- resolve administrative problems and inquiries
- prepare written responses to routine inquiries
- prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
- other duties as assigned
Work Environment
- Temperature of the office is regularly regulated to a comfortable temperature.
