This position reports to the Dean of Business and Industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is meant to be representative, not exhaustive. - Under the direction of the division dean prepare memorandums, letters, reports, purchase requisitions, book orders, confidential reports, and other documents;
- Operate a variety of office machines (i.e. copier, scanner, pc, etc.);
- Answer and handle all incoming telephone calls; take and deliver messages in an accurate and timely manner;
- Make travel arrangements and complete travel reimbursement forms for departmental faculty/staff;
- Attend departmental meetings; record, publish and distribute meeting notes/minutes;
- Maintain office records in a confidential manner;
- Assist with preparation of semester schedule, departmental budgets and part-time instructional cost information;
- Distribute departmental mail;
- Supervise work-study students;
- Assist the general public, as required;
- Schedule classrooms/meeting rooms as required;
- Assist in registration as needed;
- Provide students with information for student support services and other related resources;
- Assist students with questions and concerns regarding college policies, procedures, and programs within the division area;
- Assist students and visitors in locating classes and faculty;
- Maintain an updated list of part-time faculty names and contact information for the division;
- Maintain an adequate supply of office materials to support clerical duties and requests of faculty; prepare yearly supply inventory of office area;
- Acquire computer/technology competencies as appropriate to position;
- Assist faculty with equipment and software maintenance;
- Maintain security of personal computer access;
- Serve on college committees;
- Perform other professional or job-related duties as assigned.

Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation graphics. ExperienceRequired: Some clerical and customer service experience.Preferred: Considerable clerical and customer service experience.
