Job DescriptionJob Title: Administrative Assistant Location: Lorton,VAWork Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days a week initially, reducing to 2 days a week after six months.Clearance Required: DoD SecretAs an Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating administrative tasks that support critical departmental operations. This hybrid role requires an organized, detail-oriented professional capable of handling multiple priorities, ensuring compliance with policies, and delivering exceptional service to senior leadership and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Awards Management: Coordinate and track internal and external awards processes, maintain award trackers, and oversee distribution.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the CT civilian awards annual budget ($49,000+).
- Strategic Planning: Support strategic recruitment, staffing lifecycle, and policy updates in collaboration with HR.
- Manpower Coordination: Assist in updating policies and manpower-related processes, and manage civilian recruitment packages.
- Knowledge & Records Management: Oversee records and knowledge management, ensuring adherence to DoD standards.
- General Administration: Provide quality assurance, task tracking, and management support across various projects.
- Onboarding Coordination: Act as the point of contact for onboarding, maintaining secure records and checklists.
RequirementsQualifications:
- Active or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in military personnel or federal employee processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.
- Technical writing skills and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with DTRA or similar defense agencies.
- Prior experience with Civilian Incentive and Honorary Awards systems.
- Knowledge of USG Civilian and Military evaluation and award systems.
- Federal Government staffing and placement experience.
