The District is accepting applications for TEMPORARY Administrative Assistant I. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned administrator, perform varied and responsible secretarial and administrative assistant duties to relieve the administrator of details relative to clerical procedures and methods and budget preparation and control; plan, coordinate, and organize office activities; coordinate flow of communications for the administrator; and train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned clerical staff. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical or secretarial experience involving frequent public contact. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency.
Selection Procedure: The process will begin with the competitive screening of qualified applicants. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview process. The final selection will then be made in accordance with Merit System rules. Fingerprinting and criminal record checks will be done on all prospective employees.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION: Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification, and authorization to work (I-9). PAY DAYS: Limited-term employees are paid on the 10th of each month.
