Salary $14.13SUMMARYPosition serves as auditor for department records, budgets and projects. In collaboration with the Capital Project Program Coordinator, develops and implements the City Capital Plan. Reconcile and audit Department and Project Budgets. Assist with the City Capital Plan and department budgets. Setup various meetings and notify public. Perform annual inventory of assets. Work frequently with other City Employees, Developers, Contractors and Public.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs clerical duties related to the operation of the department.
  • Monitor and reconcile project Budgets
  • Setup projects and funding involved.
  • Account for and reconcile all funds involved in projects from planning to close.
  • Assist preparing the Department Annual Budgets.
  • Research and analyze budgets and related information.
  • Assist in the preparing the City Capital Plan.
  • Backup for Payroll.
  • Backup for process invoices for payment in the J.D. Edwards accounting system and scan invoices into Hummingbird.
  • Set up preconstruction conferences, agendas, sign-in sheets, plans and contract documents for City and Developer projects.
  • Set up the Utility Coordinating Committee Meeting. Meet with other City Departments on items to be discussed for agenda. Notify attendees, prepare agenda and meeting minutes.
  • Prepare bid recommendations for City Commission approval as needed.
  • Prepare Annual inventory
  • Assist of the Capital Projects Program Coordinator with various tasks as requested.
  • Assist other staff as required. Serve as backup for ROW Permits, Credit cards and Databases maintenance
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS A High School Diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of clerical/accounting experience are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required and must have thorough knowledge of databases and spreadsheets. Valid Texas Drivers License Required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Must have good typing skills, 30 wpm is preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer for data entry, word processing and accounting purposes.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including a calculator, copier, and multi-line telephone system.
  • Ability to use highly technical computer applications, such as GIS or CAD
