Responsibilities of Kuumba Academy Teachers Include but Are Not Limited to:
This position is responsible for coordinating new student recruitment and registration for in/out of school time programming. Applicants should be innovative, enthusiastic, and highly committed to serving students and families. - Assists in the coordination of recruitment events for families for out of school time programming with the Family Engagement Director and Out of School Time Coordinator
- Maintains events calendar for out of school time programming (internal and external)
- Collaborates with the Athletic Director and Student Activities Coordinator to coordinate student events and community outreach
- Develops and distributes correspondence for families around policies, procedures, standards and directives
- Compiles and evaluates data, prepares analysis reports for out of school time programming
- Works with school staff to ensure all student paperwork is up to date and meets eligibility requirements for program participation
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Keeps up to date records and directories of all alumni.
Skills and Characteristics - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required by the demands of the program
- Skilled in relationship building.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High level of personal organization and planning.

Educational Background and Requirements:- Must possess a minimum of an Associate's Degree, Bachelor's degree (preferred).
- Previous professional experience working as an administrative assistant (preferred)
Compensation: - Salary range for this position is commensurate with experience. This position is grant funded.
