Job Description:
Provide educational, organizational and administrative support to the Department of Psychology; disseminate information and serve as resource person for information relating to the department; communicate with the public; support activities of departmental specialized programs; oversee the ordering of supplies, materials, and equipment; maintain day-to-day organization and operation of departmental office; and supervise student employees and graduate assistants.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and equipment; Experience providing administrative or programmatic support; Ability to work well with a diverse group of faculty, students, and visitors; Ability to work independently in a busy office setting with minimal supervision; Ability to adapt easily to changes in educational technology. Demonstrated working knowledge of office computing, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet search tools; Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to relate well with a variety of people.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrable excellence in customer service; Willingness to learn and grow; Experience in a university setting, including student systems database (such as Banner), automated personnel administration (such as FLAC and PeopleAdmin), electronic purchasing systems (such as eVA).
