Description: Position Summary This position serves as lead administrative support for the curricular operations of the Office of Medical Education at the University of Illinois Rockford campus. This requires a thorough knowledge of the educational components and scheduling of the curriculum, excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills along with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, students, and administrators at the Rockford campus and participating healthcare systems. Duties & Responsibilities
Coordination and oversight of the Phase 1 curriculum including organization (college-wide) of the Box platform, local organization and maintenance of Blackboard as well as monitoring and training of Course Coordinators at the other campuses. This also includes the coordination and management of various online learning tools such as Blackboard, Echo360, ScholarRx, etc. Serves as college-wide Project Manager for assigned courses supporting the educational goals of students across the three campuses and supervising coordinator work on each campus as it pertains to the course as outlined in the College Wide Project Manager Roles and Responsibilities Document. Oversight of Phase 2 student track assignments, rosters, and cross clerkship/elective course scheduling. Resolves scheduling issues to ensure students meet the curricular requirements in Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3. Cross-trains and provides cross-training with other personnel in the Office of Medical Education and Evaluation to provide back-up and create a team environment. Produces and shares (college-wide) student facing learning platforms and materials. Provides support and oversight of implementation of new electives and course/clerkship review. Maintains information regarding the Phase 1 through Phase 3 student course requirements, credentialing, compliance, and processes on the Rockford Learning Management System. Interacts regularly with various deans, department chairperson, participating healthcare institutions, and faculty to provide input regarding student scheduling, committee deliberations, curricular matters, staff issues, and special projects. Supervises clerkship coordinators responsible for daily scheduling and maintenance of required Phase 2 clerkships and Phase 3 electives overseeing their work for accuracy to ensure the smooth operation of the Office of Medical Education Evaluation and clerkship scheduling. Participates in the leadership team of the Office of Medical Education & Evaluation including onboarding and training new team members and maintaining the onboarding training document for the Office of Medical Education & Evaluation. Trains new faculty on necessary educational technology platforms and procedures for participating in the teaching of the UICOM curriculum. Provides appropriate data on the educational program to the Assistant Dean for submission to the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), the American Association of Medical Colleges, and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Participates in and compiles reports regarding the educational program for various committees within the College of Medicine. Maintains certification as a Test Center Administrator (TCA) for our Computer-Based Test Center (CBT), which administers USMLE Step 1 & Step 2 Examinations, under the direction of the CBT Coordinator & Office Supervisor, as well as proctor for the CBT as needed. - High school graduation or equivalent
- Any one or any combination totaling five (5) years (60 months) from the following categories:
- college course work in business, finance, accounting or a related field:
- 60 semester hours or an Associate's degree equals one (1) year (12 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
- 120 semester hours or a Bachelor's degree equals three (3) years (36 months)
- Master's degree or higher equals four (4) years (48 months)
- progressively more responsible professional, managerial and supervisory experience that included experience in areas such as supervising staff or a job function, organizing and coordinating office operations, and performing duties that lead to knowledge of generally accepted office management principles

The budgeted salary range for theposition is $59,982 - $66,241. Salaryis competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while alsoconsidering internal equity.
