Administrative duties may vary based upon assignment. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe essential functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
  • Provides general office administrative support as directed.
  • Performs routine office duties such as answering phones, disseminating messages, maintain conference/training room calendar, greeting and assisting the public, scheduling and coordinating meetings and data entry.
  • Responds to customers by providing routine information, answering questions and referring customers to appropriate resources.
  • Edits, formats and drafts documents (correspondence, department policy manual, department budget, etc.).
  • Creates and maintains specialized reports, records, and files required for that department's work processes.
  • Posts contract payments for various departments.
  • Maintains and records all incoming and outgoing contracts, mail, pay labels, and procurement card records.
  • May assist with processing payroll, purchase orders, invoices and human resource functions.
  • May provide regulatory and compliance assistance.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
Typical Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Graduation or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of administrative or clerical support.
