Position Summary
Administrative Assistant position provides a variety of support services to the Bureau of Facilities and Lands for property planning, real estate services, facilities operations, engineering and construction management, fleet and warehouse, department-wide staff identification card management and production, and central office staff parking inventory and management.

Salary Information
The Administrative Assistant salary is 20.02 / hour ($41,641.60). Plus, excellent benefits. The classification is Office Operations Associate which is in schedule-range 02 - 10. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.

Job Details
Background Checks: The Department of Natural Resources conducts criminal background checks on final applicants prior to job offer. Eligibility to work in the United States (I9 Requirement): The Department of Natural Resources does not sponsor work visas at the time of hire or anytime during employment. Probationary Period: A 12 Month probation may be required.
Remote Work: Based on an assessment of the goals and work activities, this position may be eligible for remote work. Remote work approval is based on individual circumstances and is subject to supervisor approval and DNR telework policies. Approval is subject to change without notice based on business needs.

Travel: This position is based in Madison. Occasional travel within the state is needed for meetings, staff training, etc. Travel out-of-state is rare.
Qualifications

Minimally qualified candidates will have experience with each of the following qualifications:
* Using Microsoft Office Suite programs (e.g. creating Microsoft Office documents, Excel spreadsheets and reports, creating PowerPoint presentations, creating flyers on Publisher, etc.).
* Providing administrative support for management teams within an organization (e.g. organizing materials for meetings or events, keeping pertinent files/communications organized, researching information, managing calendars, etc.).
* Drafting confidential documentation and/or maintaining confidential information.
In addition, highly qualified candidates will have experience with at least one of the qualifications marked with Asterisk (*):
* *Performing quality assurance reviews on documents for accuracy, completeness, and/or compliance.
* *Composing or editing correspondences for both internal and external stakeholders (e.g. emails, memos, newsletters, web content, etc.).
* Experience designing or maintaining databases or electronic filing systems.
