Our client is seeking a professional Administrative Assistant with exceptional writing skills, a bachelor's degree, and a passion for client-facing activities. This is not your traditional legal assistant position, as they are looking for candidates with diverse professional backgrounds who thrive in dynamic, client-driven environments. This role will support multiple departments, manage the implementation of policies, processes, and filings, and provide direct, substantive support to attorneys overseeing these clients.
Responsibilities
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including professionals in land development, engineering, water and sewer infrastructure, and finance.
- Meeting Coordination: Attend in-office and out-of-office Board of Directors meetings (some travel and non-standard hours required) and draft meeting minutes.
- Document Management: Draft agendas, orders, resolutions, and other documents; coordinate execution and electronic filing.
- Research & Analysis: Compile and analyze information from internal and external resources.
- Professional Writing: Draft professional correspondence and edit various documents with attention to detail.
- Client Support: Maintain client calendars, monitor contract compliance, and assist with bond sales, elections, and real estate matters.
- Public Communication: Respond to inquiries from directors, residents, and governmental agencies.
- Networking: Engage in industry and client networking opportunities.
Key Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: At least 5 years of professional, client-facing work experience in roles such as project management, operations, property management, or education administration.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and proofreading.
- Detail-oriented: Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Client Service: Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to attend meetings outside standard business hours.
- Preferred Backgrounds: English, journalism, legal studies, teaching, project management, or public administration.
