The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryThe Columbia University Neurology Department is dedicated to advancing education, research, and clinical practice in the field of neurology and its subspecialties. We are committed to providing exceptional fellowship programs that train the next generation of leaders in neurologic care.We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator for Fellowship Programs to join our team. The Administrative Coordinator will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of our fellowship programs, ensuring their smooth functioning and contributing to the success of our trainees. This position will report to the Manager for Education Administration for the Department of Neurology.Responsibilities* Coordinate all aspects of the fellowship programs, including recruitment, selection, orientation, and ongoing support for fellows* Serve as the primary point of contact for fellows, faculty, and program leadership, addressing inquiries and providing guidance as needed* Manage fellowship scheduling, including rotations, conferences, and other educational activities* Maintain accurate records and databases related to fellows, faculty, and program activities* Facilitate the evaluation process for fellows and faculty, collecting feedback and implementing improvements as necessary* Collaborate with other departments and institutions to enhance the fellowship experience and foster networking opportunities for fellows* Stay informed about accreditation requirements and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards* Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by program leadershipMinimum Qualifications* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experiencePreferred Qualifications* 1-2 years of experience* Prior experience in graduate medical education or academic administration strongly preferred* Knowledge of accreditation standards for fellowship programs (ACGME or equivalent) preferredOther Requirements* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management softwareEqual Opportunity Employer / Disability / VeteranColumbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
