This job is primarily responsible for researching, creating, and preparing documentation for an assigned project. Additionally, this job will revise, analyze, and test appropriate systems.
In this job, you will: All job duties may or may not be performed by all job incumbents, may vary dependent on assigned department.
- Develop, prepare and/or maintain documentation pertaining to an assigned project (i.e. business processes, systems operation, product and/or service development and/or other technical processes).
- Research, review, and collect available technical information as basis for documentation; includes working with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess documentation needs.
- Make documentation recommendations and implement accurate and consistently formatted documents (web-based, hard copy, or any combination required).
- Create new documentation or update existing documentation to accurately reflect changes in a product or process; add, delete, revise documents where appropriate to support business needs.
- Perform applicable analysis to update appropriate system(s) to support new/revised documentation.
- Store and retrieve documentation from electronic archive, and maintain the integrity of the archives.
- Act as a delegate for Logistics Coordinator as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Here's what you'll need to be considered: Education Required - High School Diploma or equivalent education and/or experience. Preferred - Associate's Degree.
Experience Required - 2 years' related experience. Preferred - Previous Container Shipping Industry Experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Working knowledge and understanding of technical writing, composition concepts and grammatical rules.
- Working knowledge and understanding of database management software.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of Excel (macros and text placement).
- Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of people within and outside the organization.
- Confident, articulate and professional speaking abilities for collaboration and interaction between both internal and external groups.
- Must be highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis.
- Effectively manage workloads while prioritizing and maintaining focus on productive endeavors.
- Possess a strong commitment to team dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate global customers.

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside where there are limited extremes to heat and/or cold; moderate noise; a normal office environment. Travel, minimal travel; up to 15%.
