Position Details:Summary of Duties: This position reports to the Director of Administrative Service (DAS) and is responsible for the day-to-day financial administration for the College of Education (COE). The position acts as second in command to the Director of Administrative Services.This position is responsible for managing the college's operations and serves as fiscal, administrative, and personnel support to the college overall. The position independently performs various complex and varied fiscal and administrative functions and supervises fiscal employees, including planning, assigning, training and evaluating. The position requires the use of independent judgment when reviewing issues, articulating solutions, and applying these standards to complex financial situations in interactions with administrators, faculty, and staff. This position has delegated approval authority for the Director of Administrative Services, when necessary, within Workday.This position supervises the fiscal staff and the college and serves as the lead to other fiscal positions within the COE and is the point of contact for fiscal-related tasks, projects, and issues for the college overall.
Required Qualifications: - Positions require a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Proficiency with desktop computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word & Outlook.
- Experience interpreting and applying complex policies, procedures and processes.
Preferred Qualifications: - Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Previous finance experience in a university setting.
- Experience with Workday - WSU's administrative system or comparable administrative systems used in a complex organization.

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
