Job Overview:
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Patient Access Director and department. The successful candidate will perform various secretarial and administrative duties to ensure smooth operations within the Patient Access Department. Responsibilities include managing communications, scheduling, and providing administrative support to the director and team. This role is crucial in maintaining efficient patient access processes and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Five (5) year secretarial experience required, preferably within a hospital setting
* Knowledgeable in Microsoft, Excel, Word
Scheduling Requirements:
* Shift- 8:30am 4:30pm
* Monday-Friday
* Full Time
Essential Functions:
* Scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, and appointments for the Patient Access team.
* Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, and presentations
* Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages
* Assisting with budget tracking and expense reports
* Coordinating itineraries for the Patient Access Director
* Maintaining office equipment and arranging for repairs when necessary
* Supporting special projects and initiatives within the Patient Access Department
* Organizing and maintaining confidential files and records
* Assisting in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes
* Providing administrative support during departmental audits and inspections
* Facilitating communication between departments and external partners
* Assist with patient inquiries and direct the inquiry to the appropriate area/personnel for resolution
* Ordering office supplies and computer hardware when necessary
* Taking phone calls and messages for the Patient Access Director
* Collaborating with Human Resources for the recruitment of potential new hires
* Arranging the onboarding, orientation, and training of new hires
* Assisting in the training and supervision of volunteers
* Demonstrating good communication and customer service skills
* Performing all other duties as directed by the Patient Access department's Director and/or Manager

Pay Range:
$21.00- $23.50 per hour
