SEMCON is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Specialist to join our team supporting National Airspace System Defense Programs (NDP) Management. In this key role, you'll provide high-level administrative support to a group of NDP managers, contributing to the success of critical initiatives that help safeguard our nation's airspace.What You'll Do:As the Administrative Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the NDP team, including:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Utilize Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications.
- Communication and Correspondence: Draft, review, and send professional communications on behalf of NDP Managers.
- Meeting Coordination: Organize logistics for meetings, including scheduling, reserving meeting spaces, and gathering necessary documents.
- Phone and Message Handling: Answer and direct calls, ensuring timely communication with team members and stakeholders.
- Calendar and Travel Management: Support managers with calendar scheduling and travel arrangements.
- Record-Keeping and Document Management: Maintain organized records and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
- Meeting Support: Prepare and distribute detailed meeting minutes to capture key decisions and actions.
- Multitasking and Prioritization: Manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous administrative experience, especially supporting FAA initiatives, is highly preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma with 10+ years of related experience, or a combination of higher education and 6-8 years of experience. Senior-level, executive experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and an ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
