Department College of Nursing Responsibilities Responsible for the daily operations of the Office of Student Services and executing a range of specialized tasks to support its day-to-day functions. Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the Office of Student Services. Key duties include scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording meeting minutes, and offering exceptional customer service by providing front desk coverage. Additional responsibilities involve assisting in the development and implementation of departmental goals, tracking office supply and equipment needs, overseeing purchasing, and designing and maintaining efficient files. Manages inventory and purchasing for office supplies and student engagement activities, while maintaining a P-Card and adhering to all related policies and training requirements Acts as the first point of contact for students, parents, families, faculty, and staff with inquiries regarding the College of Nursing. Responds to inquiries received via the Nursing Info email, phone, or in-person visits. Serves as a resource to students. Assists in directing students to appropriate campus resources or resources within the College of Nursing to promote their academic, mental and financial health. Supports the nursing admissions process by answering calls and emails related to admissions and assisting the pre-nursing advisor and Director of Admissions with events such as student informational Zoom sessions, in-person information sessions, open houses, etc. Collaborates with the College of Nursing Communications team to ensure student services events are promoted through appropriate channels, including social media and the College of Nursing website. Manages and coordinates community outreach efforts and engagement, working collaboratively with the Faculty Director of the Student Affairs Committee to assist in organizing events. Oversees community requests for nursing student volunteers, serving as a resource for volunteers and managing the volunteer calendar and coordination of volunteer activities. Additionally, supports the planning and execution of college events such as undergraduate pinning ceremonies, DNP recognition, and other significant events. Assists with the scheduling of events and the maintenance of the events calendar for Student Services and student engagement initiatives. Responsible for arranging tours for the College of Nursing and coordinating with the Director of Simulation for those tours. Manages high school and community college field trips to the College of Nursing and addresses all other requests for CON tours. Performs additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at an equivalent rate.)
