Overview:
DecisionPoint is seeking an Administrative Support to join our team in Atlanta providing On-demand operational, technical, and scientific subject matter expertise support that addresses response-related requirements enabling CDC to rapidly expand its capacity to respond to public health emergencies.
The Division of Emergency Operations (DEO), with support of the Office of Readiness and Response (ORR), is actively working to enhance and augment CDCs approach to preparedness and response for Public Health Emergencies which supports the development and implementation of the CDCReady Responder Program.
This is 100% onsite position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Contractor shall monitor and triage the JIC Lead mailbox and calendar according to JIC protocol.
- Coordinate, attend, and take notes at JIC meetings. Disseminate meeting minutes to attendees.
- Draft initial responses to reporting requirements for JIC Lead review.
- Provides administrative assistance and support services with the internal daily operations of an office/division for tasks such as securing travel domestic/international, executive outlook calendars appointments, setting up meetings, property accountability, Federal information security, training and supplies procurement, time and attendance and logistical support for the Board of Scientific Counsel meetings.
- Tracks and coordinates emergency response related procurements.
- Uses CDC internal purchase card system to request orders for supplies, as needed.
- With CDC FTE guidance, assists with the coordination and development of purchase requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or
- 1 Year experience in emergency response experience- budget/procurement experience, lead administrative experience.
- Public Trust Clearance.
- Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Mail)
- Ability to effectively communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy.
- Ability to identify gaps in existing resources.
- Ability to multitask in emergency situations.
- Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency.
- Interpersonal communication: telephone, email, and business etiquette.
- Strong proofreading skill and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
