Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize and coordinate program activities for the department
  • Provide administrative support to Mathematics and Physics faculty and students
  • Organize and maintain files including faculty bios, teaching loads, mid-term and final grades, student records, and general office files
  • Prepare materials needed for meetings, such as agendas, handouts, binders, etc.
  • Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
  • Prepare written responses to inquiries
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondences, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
  • Perform administrative functions such as payroll preparation, requisitions, travel reports, postal mail, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by Department Head/Assistant Director
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in business or related area
  • At least (9) years of administrative/clerical experience
  • Familiar with policies and procedures of federal/state agencies related to grant funding
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Proficient use of Banner and MS Office software
  • Excellent communication skills.
