ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules may be subject to change in order to meet City needs or operational requirements. When Assigned Duties in the District Court
Coordinates the purchasing for several internal department accounts, entering requisitions, obtaining and receiving purchase orders
As required, assists the Chief Clerk or Chief Deputy Clerk with interviewing potential office staff.
As required, provides assistance with onboarding of new employees.
Assists in the preparation of the department operating budget and may advise department head on expenditures and budget control matters.
Completes the daily deposit of funds collected and corresponding report.
Assists the Chief Court Clerk in the monthly reconciliation of funds collected and distribution of checks to various agencies
Assists the Chief Court Clerk with the completion of monthly reporting and accounting of funds distributed
Coordinate the facility maintenance and serve as the contact person for matters related to facility safety
Department liaison with Information Technology (IT) Department for all computer needs - training, budgeting, problems.
Assists staff in resolving software operations problems for those computer applications used in District Court.
Assist Chief Court Clerk with the software administration of District Court software
Apply for and assist in the administration of District Court grants related to specialty programs
Assist with District Court specialty programs as needed.
Provides assistance to District Court and Deputy Court clerks as needed.
Performs other jobs deemed necessary.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct reports. They may oversee administrative assistants and other clerical support personnel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school and four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. English/Spanish bilingual oral communication skill preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Arkansas Driver's License
Ability to obtain certain department certifications, credentials, and licenses as determined by the department head.
High degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, XP, *HTE, Tokay, Outlook and Granite XP Viewer.
