Niles Nursing & Rehabilitation Center -

Niles Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our team!!

Shift: 9am 5:30pm with weekend MOD schedule.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Answer referrals in a timely manner
  • Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.
  • Market the facility to referral sources to gain new business
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources
  • Recruit and credential new physicians to the facility
  • Complete all admission paperwork for new admissions in a timely manner
  • Ensure facility has all required paperwork for admission
  • Verify payer sources and ensure referral is clinically approved prior to admission
  • Receive and coordinate investigation/follow through of concerns, complaints received and communicate this information with the Administrator
  • Communicate effectively and consistently with the Administrator and take directions from the Administrator
  • Ensure resident, visitor and employee concerns are resolved in a timely manner and communicated to person who originated concern
  • Meet with members of community organizations
  • Promote good public relations within the community
  • Obtain copies of insurance cards and OBRA screens for every admission
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in Long Term Care, preferably in admissions and/or marketing
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel and the general public
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with all personnel
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
  • Must be willing to travel

Required experience:

  • Long term care: 1 year
