Job Description :
Responsiblefor performing registration, administrative and clerical functions of theAdmitting Department, specific tasks vary by PCC entity.
  • Bedsideregistration is completed and thorough. Face sheet information is reviewed foraccuracy; any errors are updated in entity referral system.
  • Admissionpaperwork is completed with patient or his/her designated proxy in accordancewith established procedures.
  • Referralinformation is maintained, updated, and provided to inpatient unit perestablished standards.
  • Patientelectronic information is managed via 4next and the entity referral systems perestablished guidelines.
  • Demographic andinsurance information is verified, and insurance signatures are obtained inaccordance with established standards.
  • Input isprovided in technology initiatives to enhance the admissions process andachieve department goals.
  • Additionaldepartment, organization, or network activities are completed per establishedobjectives.
  • PCCOrganizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect,and Excellence are upheld.
AdditionalResponsibilities for Senior Admissions Associate
  • Facility toursare provided to accurately and comprehensively represent organizationalservices.
  • Coordination isprovided between referral source and facility to ensure timely and smoothreferral process.
  • As indicated byPCC entity conversion data and other related reports are prepared to meetestablished goals.
  • Access database ismaintained to meet department needs.
QualificationsEducation/DegreeRequired
  • High School Graduation or GED.
Preferred
  • Associate'sDegree preferred for Senior Admissions Associate.
ExperienceRequired
  • Medicalterminology experience preferred for the Senior Admissions Associate.
PreferredLicensureRequired:PreferredSkills (Specificlearned activity gained through training (e.g. computer skills, keyboarding,presentation, CPR, ACLS, etc.)Required:
  • Computerproficiency required.Microsoft officeapplications preferred with ability to learn new software.
  • Effectiveverbal, electronic and written communications skills using the English language.
Preferred:
  • Highly developedcommunications and interpersonal skills, working with diverse population.
  • Workindependently, be self-directed and contribute as a member of a team.
  • Anticipateschallenges and develops and implements strategies for addressing them.
  • Highlevel of service delivery. Demonstrate initiative with ability to prioritizework, meet deadlines and adapt to changing situations.
  • Attention to detail.
