As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in the recruitment and enrollment process of a diverse student body. You will be responsible for guiding potential students from your assigned territory through the admissions process, providing them with information about academic programs, financial aid, and campus life. Your primary goal will be to assist applicants in making informed decisions about their educational journey and to support them throughout the enrollment process. You will also help to manage and maintain campus programs and partners.
  • Travels within a defined national or international territory and visits high schools and community-based organizations. Attends college fairs and conducts special programs.
  • Manages all receipts and prepare travel reports to meet Trinity policies and deadlines.
  • Reads and evaluates applications and participates in the committee process to advocate for and select candidates for admission.
  • Helps develop and coordinate recruitment to reflect the importance of a diverse and inclusive student body.
  • Interviews and counsels prospective students and their families on the Trinity admissions process.
  • Conducts outreach to prospective students through various channels including phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person events.
  • Cultivates strong professional relationships with secondary school counselors, community based organizations and independent educational consultants.
  • In consultation with the Director of Admissions, seeks relevant professional development opportunities.
  • Manages multiple projects for various teams concurrently, while meeting expectations and deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Strong public speaking and writing skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work well in fast-paced and stressful environments.
  • Ability to maintain professional code of ethics.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
  • Excellent human relations/customer service skills with the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.

  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with leadership, faculty, staff, students, prospective students and families and external stakeholders/constituencies.
  • Knowledge of departmental application systems and technology.
  • Skill in public speaking and/or making presentations.
  • Demonstrated records maintenance skills.
  • Skill in program planning, implantation, and management.
  • Navigating air and car travel - valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events and outreach activities.
