Admissions Counselor - Glenville State College : Job Details

Glenville State University is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to advise prospective students concerning admission standards, financial aid, academic goals, and required curricular units. This is a full time, 12-month, non-classified, exempt position. Examples of Duties A counselor will maintain their assigned recruitment territory located in West Virginia and other assigned areas. In addition, the counselor will work to schedule and facilitate recruiting arrangements and on campus recruiting initiatives. Counselors will be expected to cultivate and maintain relationships with high school counselors and meet with prospective students and their families on a daily basis. Occasional weekends plus extensive travel with overnight stay is required. Typical Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree and excellent interpersonal skills along with strong organizational and communication skills are required.
