This position is responsible for implementing policies and procedures for the recruitment of prospective undergraduate students; assists with front line customer service and performs community outreach activities both on- and off-campus that are designed to meet enrollment goals; ensures that professional and ethical guidelines are upheld throughout the admissions process. Coastal Carolina University is an EO/AA employer. Student Services Program Coordinator I (CB65/61122676), full-time position with benefits. Salary range: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Frequent overnight, out-of-state and weekend travel/work is required. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. DutiesDuties include, but are not limited to: Develop plan, and implement admissions/enrollment recruitment activities within assigned territory, which include attendance at transfer fairs, college visits, workshops, panels, and other recruitment events. Enter recruitment trip, student inquiries, and evaluation information into CRM. Complete all travel paperwork in compliance with University and office policy. Reviews and make decisions on applications utilizing established criteria and guidelines. Provides on-going contact with assigned applicant pool to ensure file completion, acceptance, and enrollment. Build relationships and personalize the admissions process for students, parents, and collegiate contacts. This should include, but is not limited to, individual communication and/or updates via note writing, email, text, and/or or phone call. Exhibit exemplary professionalism and provide excellent customer service as representative of the university. Conduct admissions presentations for campus visitors. Assist the admissions events staff with planning and executing recruitment and enrollment events. Attends and works events and conducts presentations as requested both afterhours and on weekends as well as on and off campus. Qualifications
  • Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree. Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior higher education experience in admissions, student recruitment, or student services.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge and familiarity with CCU. Must relate well to people, be engaging, and be able to speak with confidence in front of groups. Must be able to read and evaluate academic credentials. Must have exceptional customer service skills to ensure positive promotion of CCU with prospective students/families, school counselors, and other constituents. Will be required to travel alone. Must be able to drive during the day and night. Ability to perform detailed work and handle confidential student matters.
