DescriptionThe Admissions staff is responsible for the admission and registration of incoming patients. The admissions coordinator ensures all required patient information is received and processed appropriately, following the policies and procedures as it pertains to the facility and adhering to NYS OASAS' regulatory operation standards of a Medically Supervised Inpatient Withdrawal and Stabilization program 816 and Inpatient Rehabilitation Program 818.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Under the supervision of a Qualified Health Professional (QHP), the employee screens, interviews, and completes all admissions/triage/assessments as needed.Engage with insurance companies over eligibility, benefits, and authorization for services.Complete all required consent and disclosures documentation with clients and upload to client's Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Complete admissions Level of Care for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Referral (LOCADTR) under the supervision of a QHP.Ensure all required insurance documentation is uploaded to the client's EMR.Secure and document client's insurance registration/authorization numbers.Work closely with the EMR company to troubleshoot day-to-day issues.Assure the filing of essential clinical documents are completed in a timely manner.Train and orient new administrative/clinical staff with the EMR system.Complete and distribute daily census reports to all required disciplines.Enter new patients to EMR as needed.Adhere to all HIPAA and NY Health Department regulations.Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of related work experienceSKILLS:Great interpersonal skillsAttention to detailExcellent communication skillsComputer skillsFamiliarity with electronic medical recordsAbility to work calmly under pressureTime-management and multitasking skillsBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceHealthcare setting:InpatientSchedule:9:00 am to 5:00 pm, one day 11:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to FridayRotating weekendsWeekends as neededRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of related work experienceInsurance billing knowledgeData Entry
