Department:03020000 - EM-OFFICE OF ADMISSIONSClassification Title:Admissions Officer IIJob Description:The University of Florida is seeking an Admissions Officer to join the Office of Admissions in supporting our mission to recruit, enroll, and retain a community of leaders and thinkers who will contribute to the state of Florida and the nation. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver campus tours, ensuring a high-quality experience for all visitors, and assist with various admissions-related tasks.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Campus Tour Coordination
- Design and coordinate individual or group campus tours for specific audiences.
- Ensure each group receives a personalized and meaningful experience.
- Work with campus offices to schedule visits, prepare agendas, and operate a state vehicle.
- Provide a consistent, high-quality tour experience.
Welcome Center Operations
- Assist with the recruitment, training, and retention of student workers and tour guides.
- Assist with Welcome Center operations, including planning, coordinating, and executing all campus tours and information sessions.
Admissions Counseling and Application Review
- Provide general admissions counseling and freshman holistic application review.
- Advise departments and applicants via phone, email, and in person about additional credentials such as transcripts, test scores, application fees, and supporting documents.
Additional Duties
- Deliver admissions presentations to campus visitors as needed.
- Assist with special projects or support other areas within the Office of Admissions, which may include occasional out-of-town travel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Expected Salary:$47,500 annuallyIn addition, we offer the following exceptional benefits:

- Ability to present in front of a large audience
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work and communicate across a variety of stakeholders both within Enrollment Management and campus-wide
- Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
