The Admissions, Records, and Graduation student worker is responsible for providing services to OCCC students, staff and community in the office of Admissions, Records, and Graduation.

Reports To Transfer Evaluation Coordinator What position(s) reports to this position?

None

Minimum Education/Experience

Current OCCC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours for the Fall or Spring semester or enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours for the Summer semester. Must have a 2.0 or higher GPA.

OR

Current OCCC student with a Federal Work Study award.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sedentary work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 10 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

This position requires the person to frequently move about the Records Office and the OCCC campus.

This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, faculty, staff, administration, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to frequently remain in a standing and stationary position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate a computer, other office machinery, and mobile devices to perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to frequently operate equipment that involves repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and/or fingers.

This position requires the person to use upper and lower body to exert force up to 10 pounds to grasp or lift materials or equipment.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to grasp, move, or lift materials or equipment.

This position requires the person to frequently position self to access materials that may be above head or at ground level.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:

This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position performs the essential functions in an indoor, office setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Successful completion of college credit course work preferred.

Previous experience working in a community college environment.

Required Training Work Hours

To be arranged but must be able to work during normal office hours 8 am - 6 pm.

Provide students direct access to their individual records, OCCC transcripts, evaluation of college and high school transcripts, and general student information.

Support a system that evaluates all incoming transcripts and scans documents for immediate viewing.

Produce and distribute ID's for students, faculty, and staff.

Provide vehicle registration and parking decals for new and returning students.

Provide referrals to other student services areas as appropriate.

Answers incoming phone calls.

Information referral.

Utilize OCCC website for needed information.

Assist Admissions, Records, and Graduation staff with data entry and auditing as needed.

Contribute to a safe educational & working environment.

Adhere to established safety and health procedures and practices for the purpose of providing injury and illness prevention for self and others.

Complete quarterly health and safety training pursuant to OCCC's established safety and health procedures and practices.

Participate in all applicable OCCC emergency, evacuation, shelter in place drills, and be prepared to take action and assist others in taking appropriate action should a health or safety emergency occur.
