We are seeking a motivated Part-Time Contract Admissions Specialist our clients team at a trade school in San Marcos. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for helping students succeed, and the initiative to take ownership of their responsibilities. This position is in-office, working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 am 3 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the student process from inquiry to on-boarding, class participation, and graduation.
- Respond to prospective student inquiries regarding program options, payment plans, and next steps.
- Verify application fee payments and conduct required background checks.
- Send acceptance emails with next steps such as scheduling textbooks pick-ups.
- Serve as liaison for student referrals and between departments.
- Maintain student files, ensuring timely completion of enrollment paperwork.
- Share job opportunities with students and assist in their transition into the workplace.
- Provide support with job placement and maintain partner relationships.
- Track and maintain data for end-of-year grant reporting and quarterly enrollment and application reports.
- Maintain enrollment and application data over each quarter for management.
- Assist management with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
