Posting Details Position Information Position Title Admissions Transfer Coordinator Job Type Staff Position Information The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a full-time, twelve-month position with full benefits. Salary is based on experience and qualifications. A final offer of employment will be contingent on the successful completion of reference and background checks. Responsibilities
  • Serves as the representative for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment in the recruitment and advisement of transfer students.
  • Serves as primary contact for transfer recruitment, to include coordinating recruiting efforts and identifying prospective qualified undergraduate students.
  • Serves as primary contact for transfer credit evaluation, coordinates advisement efforts of • prospective qualified undergraduate students.
  • Must be able to travel independently out of town and sometimes overnight.
  • Position will require some evening and weekend work.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Classification 25-0000 Education, Training, and Library Occupations Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • One year related experience.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and to lift and carry large quantities of heavy recruitment materials.
  • Must have valid U.S. driver's license and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
  • Must have an interest in working with prospective college students, transfer students and their families.
Preferred QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Basic knowledge in the usage of personal computers and standard application software(word processing, spreadsheet and/or database management programs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with different cultures and groups of people.
Certifications/Registrations Valid driver's license.
