Committed to our mission-driven approach, we believe in building meaningful relationships, embracing challenges as opportunities, and inspiring and being inspired every day.Position: Adult Day Services Behavior CoachSummary:Block Institute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Day Services Behavior Coach to join our team. In conjunction with the Behavior Intervention Specialist, the Behavior Coach is responsible for the psychological assessment and behavior improvement of assigned individuals. This role involves the development and implementation of individual and/or group treatment programs, either directly or through the direction of assigned staff members.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:All duties and responsibilities will be performed in conjunction with the Behavior Intervention Specialist. Other duties may be assigned.
- Participate in the development of individual program plans as a member of the Team.
- Provide crisis intervention, including immediate response and follow-up services as needed.
- Ensure continuity and coordination of services with families and other service providers.
- Provide ongoing consultation with clinical, supervisory, and other staff regarding psychological and behavioral issues of individuals under their care.
- Assist in completing and documenting monthly reports, service reviews, behavior plans, annuals, case conferences, etc., on a timely basis.
- Complete assigned responsibilities within the preadmission process, including evaluation/screening and recommendations.
- Participate in any consumer-driven meetings, reviews, and evaluations as deemed appropriate.
- Review and understand all behavior support plans.
- Instruct staff on implementing behavior support plans as written.
- Work regularly with Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders to implement behavioral programs and plan additional interventions as needed.
- Provide coaching to staff on implementing behavior support plans through modeling, verbal feedback, written feedback, and additional training.
- Attend mandatory in-service training and demonstrate understanding and compliance with both OPWDD regulations and Block Institute policies and procedures.
- Learn and master the use of any and all software systems and technology utilized by the Agency.
- Demonstrate appropriate interactions between co-workers and consumers in accordance with OPWDD regulations and Block Institute policies and procedures.
- Participate in the internal incident review committee or other committees as required.
- Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality at work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Supervise the implementation of the behavior support plans.QualificationsQualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related human services field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a plus.
