Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 HourlyLocation : Scottsbluff, NEJob Type: Part-TimeDivision: Student ServicesDepartment: Adult EducationOpening Date: 01/16/2025FLSA: Non-Exempt Job SummaryTo provide classroom instruction to ABE (Adult Basic Education) GED® students through one-on-one and group instruction, handouts, responding to questions, and assessments; and to perform related duties as required. This position, based in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, will work up to 26 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Key Responsibilities Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Work directly with the Adult Education students and be responsible for accurate assessment, instruction and outcomes for student performance.2. Actively participate in the registration, career pathways intake and orientation process for students.3. Collect student data to include student attendance hours.4. Administer and evaluate assessments to determine student needs; and record individual student scores and progress.5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance; maintain various records and databases according to program needs or program requirements.6. Participate in staff development programs, workshops, seminars and other continuing education programs as appropriate.7. Oversee the implementation of policies and procedures related to required instructional area.8. Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Required and Preferred Qualifications Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:Education:Bachelor's degree and teaching experience preferred but not required. A combination of education, experience, and certifications that demonstrates the candidate is capable of teaching the academic content is preferred but not required.License or Certificate:Possession of, or the ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record that does not exclude the driver from coverage under WNCC's vehicle insurance.This position is not eligible for benefits.
