At Alcoa Massena Operations, general mechanics install, repair, weld, prepare and layout work from blueprints, fabricate, maintain, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment including, piping systems, pumps, conveyor type systems, and work on various types of production equipment including aluminum reduction cells, cranes and furnaces. Qualifications:Possess a High School degree or GED - Must provide evidence of completed months in mechanical trade satisfactory and applicable to the apprenticeship program and successfully completed mechanical related apprentice courses. Must provide evidence of 2000 hours of work experience in the mechanical trade satisfactory and applicable to the apprenticeship program Ability to read layout drawings and blueprints.
