Responsibilities

Ascension Seymour is looking for a Nurse Practitioner for our Cardiology.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seymour to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

  • This position will support Seymour, Salem and North Vernon
  • This is an established cardiology office with Nationally ranked heart center training resources
  • Day shift schedule with no call schedule, no holidays or weekends
  • Willing to train

Preferred candidates:

  • Candidates with a cardiology practice background
  • Candidates with an internal practice medicine background
  • Candidates with family medicine practice background
  • Candidates with a nursing background in cath lab or device management

This position provides cardiology services by diagnosing and treating certain cardiology conditions.

  • Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination.
  • Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunization and patient care.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
    • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
    • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
    • Registered Nurse credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
