The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) provides specialized care in the Vascular Surgery Department, focusing on both inpatient and outpatient settings at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) and MacNeal Hospital (MNH). This role is integral in delivering advanced nursing and medical care, managing patients independently and collaboratively with physicians, case managers, and the healthcare team.

What you'll do: 

Inpatient & Outpatient Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and MacNeal Hospital.
• Independently staff the Vascular Surgery Clinic, managing a diverse patient population with vascular conditions.
• Conduct initial consultations, follow-ups, and surveillance for vascular diseases, including:
  • Venous insufficiency, venous thromboembolism, and lymphedema.
  • Hemodialysis access management.
  • Arterial diseases, including peripheral artery disease, aneurysm disease, and carotid disease.
• Ensure care delivery aligns with Loyola University Medical Center's mission, strategic goals, and compliance standards.
• Function independently and collaboratively with physicians to provide continuity of healthcare services for individuals, families, and groups.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
• Perform specialized and complex invasive procedures within the scope of practice.
• Coordinate seamless care transitions to optimize patient outcomes across the healthcare continuum.

What you'll need for this job:  

• CPR – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
• Nursing – Current Registered Nurse License - State of Illinois (RN)
• Nursing – Nursing Practitioner License – State of Illinois (APN)
• Physician Assistant License – State of Illinois (PA)

Pay Range: $109,304 - $180,336 per year 

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
