The Voices of the Commonwealth works to advocate for change in the out of home care system to improve the outcomes of young people in Kentucky who experience out of home care. Members develop and take action with advocacy goals, share their experiences with legislators, foster/adoptive parents, social workers, and community member, and assist in planning and facilitating regional and statewide events for young people in foster care. This is a remote position; however, must be available on campus,if ever needed. This is a grant funded position. Continuation is dependent upon funding/need.

Job Requirements:

Applicants must have lived in a Kentucky out of home care setting, including but not limited to foster care, kinship/fictive kin care, residential treatment, or an adoptive placement over the age of 14 or be a current youth in foster or other out of home care setting as describe above. Must be between the ages of 16-23 due to Chafee program funding restrictions.

Additional Information:

Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $20.00
