Advocate - Youth Advocate Programs : Job Details

Status: Part Time HourlyFLSA classification: Non-ExemptSummary of the Position: Hourly, Part-Time positions working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors are available.

• Advocates must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

$18.00 per hourQualifications/Requirements: A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required. Associates or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be extremely organized
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, flexible, and have the ability to work independently
• Must be available evenings and weekends

• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.

Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance coverage. Benefits Available:
