Job Description :
A highly skilled and motivated Performance Engineer is needed to work on hydraulic systems for next generation aircraft. As a Performance Engineer, you will work on a range of tasks including: creation of system architecture;performance prediction; system analysis; failure and reliability analyses; as well as verification and validation testing.Employer: A rapidly growing small company with excellent advancement potential.Role:
  • Contribute to the development and documentation of verifiable requirements into a total systems solution.
  • Analyze/troubleshoot problems, present accurate solutions.
  • Create design reports and presentations based on results from modeling and simulations.
  • Create concise reports that document the design decisions and analysis results.
  • Support the identification, definition and closure of Systems-and Subsystems-level Requirements Verification and Validation.
  • Support system- and subsystem-level integration and test, including any anomaly investigations.
  • Contribute as a technical member on a team of creative, independent individuals.Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or another related field with a minimum of three (3) years of practical hydraulic systems engineering experience.
    • Experience with modeling and simulation methods; and hydraulic control system design and verification.
    • Experience with Simcenter Amesim, Matlab Simscape Fluids, and/or other simulation tools.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
    • On-site work in Long Beach, California required.
    • Local candidates preferred.
