Job DescriptionProvides direct in-home services including, but not limited to, crisis management, de-escalation, parenting skills, and behavior managmentSupport case plan goals through teaching, role modeling, and demonstrationDevelops short term safety plans to resolve crisis situationsWorks with community partners to access supports for children and families during a time of crisisFrequest communication/coordination with on-call screener during crisis situationsSupervises and transports children and families, as neededDocuments information and completes all necessary Saint Francis Ministries forms according to timelinesSupports resource families to maintain placements and help children work toward permanencyMonitors and supervises family interactionsProvides clerical support to case teams as neededAssists with filing or closing out files as needed or requested by supervisorRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMust be at least 21 years of ageMandated ReporterReceives training in trauma informed practice and incorporates knowledge in day-to-day practiceMust be able to manage aggressive behaviors with clientsAbility to work flexible schedule beginning at 2 PM until 8 AMAbility to engage families in a working relationshipAbility to assess for safety for children and adultsUnderstanding of child and adolescent developmentDemonstrate effective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel throughout the StateMust be a team playerHandles multiple prioritiesIndependent discretion/decision making within the scope and responsibility of the positionManages emotions and can amek decisions under pressureManages stress appropriatelyWorks alone effectivelyAbilty to work with a diverse populationUnderstands and practices Universal Precautions
