THE ROLE
- As a Quest Facilitator, you will lead students through the Quest program, guiding them in exploring and solving challenges within this dynamic learning environment. You will play a crucial role in creating a fun and engaging atmosphere that fosters learning and personal growth.
- Facilitate the Quest program for K-8 students, ensuring an engaging and educational experience.
- Encourage and support the development of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity skills.
- Utilize technology, including computers, projectors, and internet-based games or websites, to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain excellent classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
- Adapt to the needs of students and the program with flexibility and creativity.
- Collaborate with a ProSolve coach through ongoing trainings and touchpoints
- Lead lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
- Effectively manage student behavior (up to 20 students) with minimal assistance.
- Work effectively with staff and embrace professional development.
- Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
ABOUT YOU
- Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
- Understand and implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining accuracy and organization in activities.
- Effectively support kids' behavioral management needs.
- Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
- Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
- Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
- Are comfortable utilizing online platforms for training and resources.
- Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.
- Experience working with children in educational or similar settings.
- Background or passion for education, particularly experiential learning methods.
- Playful spirit and enthusiasm for engaging with students in a fun and dynamic way.
- Experience or interest in performing, public speaking, or similar activities.
- Interest in games and escape room-like challenges.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to various teaching scenarios and student needs.
Additional Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
- 1-2 years of working experience in education, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in using technology such as computers, projectors, and internet-based games or websites.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
