Rooted in the Ursuline Sisters' tradition of faith, character, and educational excellence, UCS engages our faculty, families, and community partners in the successful whole child development of students. UCS serves nearly 750 students from 6 weeks old - 8th grade using restorative practices and conscious discipline. Eighty percent of our families earn less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. - Build a strong sense of community and culture aligned to the mission, vision, and values of Urban Community School for a small group of students.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and coordinate daily programming that is educational and recreational.
- Lead and support students as they participate in age-appropriate activities.
- Actively supervise students to ensure student safety at all times.
- Communicate with parents/caregivers, staff members, and administration regarding the student experience and regularly share updates with families to keep them informed and celebrate student success.
- Develop routines, systems, and procedures to support student safety and a positive environment.
- Update all records accurately and completely as needed and as required by laws and school regulations.
- Use restorative practices and conscious discipline framework to support student development.
- Participate in training programs as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Beliefs

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Resourceful with the ability to work independently.
Education, Experience & Certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with students.
- Proficient in Restorative Practices and Conscience Discipline preferred.
- FBI/BCI background check required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to walk significant distances and climb stairs throughout the day as the campus is situated on several acres with 2 buildings, ranging from single story to two stories, along with 5 campus partner facilities
Compensation & Benefits
- $16.50 per hour
