Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Outside Sales Consultant to drive aftermarket sales in Division 8 (Openings) and Division 10 (Specialties) within our service area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, building lasting customer relationships, and delivering tailored solutions for our clients. This role requires a self-motivated professional with a strong understanding of architectural products and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in aftermarket Division 8 & 10 products.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, contractors, and facilities managers.
- Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance targets.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and addressing their needs promptly.
- Develop customized solutions based on customer requirements, budget, and timelines.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess project scope, provide recommendations, and finalize agreements.
Product Knowledge and Support:
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Division 8 & 10 products, including doors, hardware, partitions, lockers, and related specialties.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and compatibility with their projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and service support.
Quoting and Contract Management:
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and contracts tailored to customer specifications.
- Ensure clear documentation and communication of project requirements.
- Follow up on submitted quotes and manage the sales pipeline effectively.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
- Provide insights and suggestions to improve product offerings and customer experience.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to expand the company's presence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within Division 8 & 10 markets or related construction/architectural industries.
- Strong understanding of architectural products and specifications.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the territory.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with building codes, industry standards, and project management processes.
- Technical knowledge of door hardware, access control, and specialty products.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

- Competitive base salary with performance-based commission. Pay Range from $52K - $72K plus commissions. Pay range based on experience.
