Job DescriptionA global leader in the design and manufacturing of severe service valves is seeking an Aftermarket Sales Professional to represent and develop the company's MRO products and services within a defined territory. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the valve industry and strong relationship-building skills. Communicating effectively, the new team member will drive revenue growth by establishing and enhancing customer relationships while setting and achieving sales targets and identifying areas for business improvement. Salary + Additional Benefits:
  • $115,000-$130,000 + uncapped commission

Location: United States, Remote Type of Position: Direct Hire Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the sales representation and development of MRO portfolio of products and services within the defined territory.
  • Set and achieve sales targets, develop new long-term customer relationships, and enhance existing ones and promote the brands in a professional manner.
  • Provide regular business, regulatory and competition news, and activities within the territory.
  • Follow up all opportunities for the business and provide forecasts via regular updates utilizing the companies CRM system.
  • Identify areas for business improvement and develop strategic plans to implement utilizing the various resources available within the group.
  • Manage, mentor and engage new and any existing agents/distributors within the territory.
  • Set progressive yet realistic yearly targets based upon knowledge of the installed base, customers shut down planning and relationships.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Forecast accurately via the company CRM system.
  • Increase the client base within the territory.
  • Identify new MRO product and service offering within the territory.
  • Measurements: Achieving sales targets, forecast accuracy, CRM system updating, Customer satisfaction
  • Health, Safety & Environment: Act in a responsible and compliant manner in all interactions with a customer always ensuring to adhere fully to a commitment to the Health, Safety and Environmental management system in operation.
  • Quality Management System: To show a responsibility and compliance to the Quality Management System, including all relevant procedures and work instructions in operation.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into new business, particularly for new Service Contracts.
  • Cold call as appropriate within current markets or geographic areas to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Research and meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's Senior Leadership.
  • Plan approaches and pitches.
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing the offering, solutions, or service co-ordination.
  • Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Provide analysis on emerging trends and markets and highlight the possible areas to target focus selling (geographical growth with the territory).
  • Present new offerings, products and services and enhance existing relationships.
  • Work with the Sales, Technical, Applications and Service teams and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.
  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  • Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
Requirements:
  • Degree with five years related experience and/or training; or 10 years of experience within the valve industry selling into the North America energy market, including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Air Gas Products and Power Generation
  • MUST have control valve experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
  • Language Skills: English Fluent / Spanish will be considered a plus
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Understand how to size and select a valve and actuator, understand valve instrumentation, and read PID/Isometrics
  • Familiar with Oil and Gas applications and potential issues
  • Computer proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word / Excel / Teams / PowerPoint / Outlook/ Power BI a bonus)
  • Experience and competency in managing a territory in a CRM system
  • Physical Demands: Significant travel is expected for this role within the region including visits on site where climbing staircases/ladders could be involved on occasion

  • Requires regular travel to see customers in their office or on-site locations both locally and on occasion internationally
