Ag Laborer - Valley Wide Cooperative : Job Details

The position of Agronomy Laborer is of great significance to Valley Agronomics. A person in this position will assist patrons in a professional manner and promote a positive image of the cooperative. This is a safety-sensitive position.Job Summary:These are the basic requirements of the positionand must be performed competently.* Assist customers with buying bulk fertilizer, chemicals and seed as well as delivering of grain commodities to the terminal.* Load and Unload railcars in a timely manner as they come into the business.* Verify that the equipment and supporting vehicles are in good working order.* Blend and load Agronomy products* Unload grain commodities as they are received.* Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, or other to customer site.* Perform warehouse work to include driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.* Perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities.* Complete all safety reports and required record keeping.* Follow all company policies and procedures.* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:* High School diploma or GED preferred.* Maintain current license that apply to the position.* Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.* Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public.* Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy.* Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the location.* Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.* Must have a manager focus on all interactions and exhibit strong critical thinking/ problem solving skills.* Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
