Job Description :
Summary: The AG Service Technician position reports to the AG Lead Service Technician and actively interacts with company team members, and customers. This role supports all service departments in the picking up and delivery of chemical/materials at various worksite locations and performs maintenance and service on irrigation systems for customers as directed.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain all necessary service documentation in Meras service software
  • Maintains a sufficient inventory of parts and materials for on-site service and support
  • Assists with equipment installations as assigned
  • Set up and operate designated equipment for remediations
  • Help troubleshoot technical problems and diagnose errors to find effective solutions
  • Take water samples and deliver/ship to testing labs as needed
  • Runs distribution uniformity tests at various locations when assigned
  • Responsible for the upkeep of all company issued tools used for servicing pumps and any other related items
  • Delivers and transfers chemical to customer sites when necessary; follow all safety regulations and rules guidelines (Employee shall not transport or handle hazardous material if the employee has not received appropriate training and/or HAZMAT Endorsements/certification.)
  • Follow all company's field procedures and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Consistently use effective communication to coordinate with other Meras staff, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain a good relationship with all customers and team members
  • Oversee customer's chemical needs and inventory levels
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
Driving Requirements
  • Commute safely from job site to job site by avoiding distractions, adhering to speed limits, and driving responsibly.
  • Must be 21 years of age, and able to obtain a commercial learner's permit, and eligibility to obtain a class C HazMat endorsement.
  • Possess a valid Driver's license and maintain a good driving record
  • Able to operate a company vehicle
  • Complete Driver Disclosure and Release (DMV Pull Notice Program)
  • Acknowledge and abide to rules of the Employee Applicant Drug and Alcohol Statement
Physical Requirements:
  • In a typical 8-10-hour day, the position requires:
  • Standing, Sitting, Walking, Speaking, Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Stoop, Bend, Manual Dexterity, Vision, Hearing, Reading Heat (Extreme), Cold (Extreme) and Driving extended distances.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Overtime is expected during the summer season.
