Senior Agile Coach

- Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Duration: 6+ months
Role Overview
The Senior Agile Coach plays a pivotal role in driving the agile transformation across the organization. This role involves coaching and mentoring multiple development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective implementation of agile practices. The Senior Agile Coach collaborates with leadership to align agile initiatives with business goals and provides strategic guidance to enhance organizational agility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead agile activities and ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, planning, backlog refinement).
- Ensure meetings are productive and on-topic.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to manage the backlog.
- Oversee user story estimation and planning.
- Promote agile standards and best practices.
- Coach teams on IT and corporate standards.
- Identify and resolve team impediments.
- Communicate progress and challenges to leadership.
- Use feedback and metrics to improve team performance.
- Enhance team collaboration and self-management.
- Represent teams in broader planning sessions.
- Support teams with agile tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence, Rally).
- Experiment with new practices to improve outcomes.
- Participate in learning opportunities.
- Mentor junior agile coaches and scrum masters.

- Strategic thinking and ability to align agile initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).
- 5+ years of experience with agile development.
- 5+ years of scrum master or agile coaching experience.
- Agile, scrum, or project management certification preferred (e.g., CSM, CSP, PMP, SAFe).
- Proven track record of leading agile transformations and coaching at an organizational level.
