Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled, outgoing and experienced Scrum Master & Agile Coach with demonstrated success at developing productive relationships with stakeholders and leading Agile development teams in both software and systems engineering. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will be at the forefront of the customer, sitting outside of Agile teams within the organization while paying close attention to the processes and interactions among team members. The Agile Coach will observe and note areas of friction and quality of the product to perform a complete Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis of the team's Agile performance. Based on this analysis, the Agile Coach will formulate a plan to address weaknesses, leverage opportunities, and mitigate potential threats before they arise, all while fostering collaboration and encouraging the team's strengths. An Agile Coach is the confluence of multiple factors - experiences, knowledge and training, and personality.

** This position is future funded. Expected availability after May 1, 2025

Travel: None Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:
  • Substantial experience with multiple Agile methodologies and can tailor methodologies to fit within a team's work structure
  • Experience serving multiple roles within an Agile team such as a standard participant, Product Owner and a Facilitator
  • Experience with systems engineering and software development environments and has interacted with the phases of testing a product
  • Experience and knowledge with Jira
  • Ability to prioritize and perform Scrum Master duties for more than one team
  • Ability to develop performance metrics for multiple teams and adapt communications to unique methods required by each team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including organizational, team building, encouragement, and issue resolution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability at making teams successful
  • Experience conducting Agile events (e.g., retrospectives, etc.)
  • Ability to absorb the unique work environment of the Department of the Navy and balance an Agile approach with the need for increased focus on Safety and Department of Defense project controls
  • Current Agile certification
Responsibilities:
  • Provide plan and progress status updates, metrics, and recommendations to government POCs
  • Communication with Agile teams, providing knowledge, training, mentoring, and encouragement
  • Prepare and Facilitate Agile Open Forums to discuss Agile topics
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner on long-term release planning
  • Performs duties as a Scrum Master, as needed, for one or more Scrum Teams
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Involvement in the Agile community
  • Ability to quickly develop productive relationships with stakeholders and team members
  • Strong confidence in leading team meetings and presenting material to large groups
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and other applications Confluence, Mural, SharePoint, Azure DevOps
Education:   A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required. Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $79,000 - $115,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
